The Timeline & Process

The design journey is a creative and artful process, and we are committed to walking alongside you every step of the way. Read our Custom Design Guide for in-depth details of our process.

CUSTOM DESIGN GUIDE
INQUIRE NOW

  • We meet up for an in-person consultation at our Chicago studio or virtually for our remote clients. Consultations last for about 45 minutes. The goal of the consultation is to get to know each other, gather a basic idea of the piece we're creating, discuss gems if needed, and finalize details such as budget, timeline, and measuring your finger if applicable. If you have reference images and/or heirloom gems, this is also the time to share those with us.

  • We will send you a follow up email with a timeline for your project and your spot is confirmed once the design deposit is paid. If applicable, we will source for your center stone before designing. Once a design is sparked, we will email you 3D renderings of your design and work on any design edits if needed.

  • Once you approve the design, we will calculate final costs and a production deposit is due. Your piece will journey through steps such as 3D printing, casting, stone setting and hand finishing. This step typically takes 5–7 weeks.

  • Once completed, we will contact you for local pick up or to arrange a secure, fully insured, signature-required UPS delivery. Final balance + shipping (if applicable) is due upon pick up/shipping.

At TYTIN Jewelry, we proudly uphold a commitment to ethical sourcing and thoughtful craftsmanship. Our gemstones are carefully selected from a trusted network of socially responsible suppliers, while our metals are cast locally in Chicago’s historic Jeweler’s Row by a family-owned business and Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC) member.

We embrace a wide spectrum of diamonds and gemstones beyond traditional norms, offering 14k and 18k golds, Palladium White gold, and Platinum.
